Invio vs CareIQ
These two answer different questions. CareIQ is a care management platform that lists clinical records alongside rostering, SCHADS pay lines and NDIS invoicing. Invio is invoicing software with an NDIS plan for teams, built around the shift log, the roster, award hours and the claims file. So the question is whether you want clinical records in the same system, or invoicing and claims at the centre.
We make Invio. Read our side with that in mind. Every statement about CareIQ below links to CareIQ's own published page.

Side by side
The details behind the choice, with dated sources for every CareIQ claim.
Invoicing and quoting software with an NDIS plan for teams: shift log, roster, worker app, progress notes and incidents, worker checks, SCHADS award hours, claims pack, service agreements and Xero sync.
CareIQ lists clinical notes, medications, incidents, SCHADS payroll, NDIS invoicing, Xero and Care Signals as included in both of its plans.
Source checked 2 November 2026Care is A$79 a month including 3 workers, then A$8 a worker for workers 4 to 10, A$7 for 11 to 30, A$6 from the 31st. A worker counts from the moment you invite them, and an invite that expires or is cancelled stops counting. 3 workers are included in the base price.
$6 per user / month. Annual plan saves 20% ($4.80/user/month). The page does not define who counts as a user.
Source checked 2 November 2026The Starter plan is free and includes up to 5 invoices a month.
2 months free to start, with no credit card required.
Source checked 2 November 2026The claims pack, service agreements, Xero sync and Projects Pro are part of the Care plan.
Family Portal and CareIQ Compliance are separate subscriptions. No price for either is shown on the pricing page.
Source checked 2 November 2026Roster with a worker app. A phone app for your workers: see their shifts, record start and end times with GPS, and add notes. It keeps working when the signal drops. Open shifts are offered to eligible workers in Invio Work: they request a shift, and you approve one (or switch on giving it to the first eligible worker who asks).
Shift rostering and calendar, GPS clock-in and clock-out, open shift marketplace, and shift swaps and availability.
Source checked 2 November 2026Keeps each worker's screening and credentials (WWCC and others) with their expiry dates, and stops a shift being rostered when a needed check has run out by that day.
Credential tracking with expiry alerts warns or blocks rostering on configured mandatory credentials, so lapsed workers are caught before the shift.
Source checked 2 November 2026Splits approved roster hours into SCHADS award pay categories and exports a CSV file for payroll. Each line shows the award clause it comes from. Invio interprets hours into award pay categories; it does not run payroll.
CareIQ calculates SCHADS penalty rates and overtime from each completed shift for you to review against the Award, then turns it into a timesheet ready for Xero.
Source checked 2 November 2026Checks your service lines against the NDIS price limits, tracks each participant plan budget, and makes the bulk claim file for the NDIA.
CareIQ builds NDIS invoices from completed shifts, maps them to NDIS support items and catalogue rates, exports a bulk payment request file for upload to the NDIA provider portal, and records each claim's status.
Source checked 2 November 2026Each invoice you send, the payments you record and voids appear in your Xero by themselves, so nobody re-keys them. Invio only reads your Xero accounts and tax rates so you can choose where things go; it never copies your Xero data into Invio. Invoices can also be exported as Xero- or MYOB-ready CSV on every plan.
CareIQ offers a one-click export of timesheets to Xero.
Source checked 2 November 2026Invio has a free SCHADS pay calculator too, which shows the award clause for each line and the date its allowance amounts apply from.
CareIQ lists a free SCHADS pay calculator on its home page.
