Care: Invoicing and NDIS tools for providers with a team

Category Plans Market Australia (NDIS) By Invio

Care brings team rostering, shift logging, mobile worker tools, progress notes, worker credential checks, SCHADS award interpretation, NDIA bulk claim files, and Xero sync into one streamlined system for Australian NDIS providers.

Who it is for

Care is for Australian NDIS providers running a team of support workers and office staff.

Care is for Australian NDIS providers. All tools operate in Australian Dollars (AUD), follow the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, respect Australian state time zones for shift rosters, and interpret hours under the SCHADS modern award.
NDIS service providers
Designed for registered and unregistered Australian providers coordinating multiple support workers, whether you support self-managed, plan-managed, or NDIA-managed participants.
Growing teams
Built for teams that have outgrown manual spreadsheets and solo invoicing apps, needing clean rostering and shift verification without enterprise software complexity.
Office coordinators
Gives coordinators a central place to schedule shifts, verify attendance, check worker credentials, track participant plan budgets, and generate claim files in minutes.

What is included

Care bundles everything in Growth with specialized tools for NDIS teams.

Shift log
Log each support shift with participant, support worker, service date, start and end clock times, break durations, and support item code. Verify hours before billing.
Team roster
Schedule and publish shifts across your team with automatic time zone handling for your Australian state and conflict alerts for overlapping bookings.
Worker app on the phone
Support workers use Invio Work on iPhone or Android. They see their own published shifts, tap Start and End to clock in, log travel kilometres, and write progress notes. They cannot see participant billing, rates, or business finances.
Progress notes and incidents
Shift progress notes and participant records are stored securely in a dedicated care record vault, insulated by a privacy firewall from invoices, CSV exports, AI tools, and general logs. Includes an incident register with 24-hour critical notification tracking and 5-business-day follow-up reporting.
Worker checks & credentials
Track credential expiry dates including the NDIS Worker Screening Check (NWSC 5-year clearance), Working With Children Check (WWCC), and First Aid/CPR. Rostering checks warn you if a worker check is expired or missing.
SCHADS award hours
Automated award interpretation engine categorises worked shift hours into ordinary time, afternoon and night shifts, Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, overtime, broken shifts, and sleepovers, citing award clauses. Export interpreted timesheets directly to Xero Payroll or CSV.
Claims pack & NDIA claim file
Includes the up-to-date NDIS Support Catalogue with one-click import, participant plan budget tracking across Core, Capacity Building, and Capital categories, and direct generation of the NDIA bulk payment request claim file (myplace portal CSV format) with 9-digit NDIS number and code validation.
Service agreements
Create and track participant service agreements with support schedules, cancellation terms (2 clear business days for non-DSW / 7 days for DSW), statutory section 38-38 GST-free statements, and online signatures via signing links.
Xero sync
Your sent invoices and client payments sync automatically to your Xero organisation, eliminating double handling.
Projects Pro included
Track job budgets, billable hours, project profit margins, and contractor logins and payouts at no additional charge.
Team & accountant seats
Includes full team access for your office: you plus 4 team seats (admin or staff) and 2 accountant seats, on top of your worker accounts.

How the price works

Fair, transparent pricing that scales with the workers on your team.

Care base plan

Includes all Care tools, Projects Pro, Xero sync, and 3 workers.

A$79/month

Graduated pricing as you add workers

A$8 a worker for workers 4 to 10, A$7 for 11 to 30, A$6 from the 31st.

  • Workers 4 to 10A$8 per worker/month
  • Workers 11 to 30A$7 per worker/month
  • Worker 31 onwardsA$6 per worker/month

Who counts as a worker and from when: A worker counts from the invite. Any distinct person who has an active worker login or an unexpired pending invitation (7-day invite lifetime) on a non-archived business counts toward your worker quantity.

Minimum quantity: The minimum quantity billed is 1, so having 0 to 3 workers is covered by the base price of A$79/month.

No double charging: The same worker working across two or more businesses owned by your account counts as one worker. An invitation that expires or is cancelled stops counting immediately.

Questions about the Care plan

Is Care available for New Zealand businesses?
No. Care is designed specifically for Australian NDIS providers. It operates in Australian Dollars (AUD), generates NDIA myplace claim files, uses Australian state time zones, and applies the Australian SCHADS modern award.
Who counts as a worker under Care pricing?
A worker counts from the moment you send their invitation. Any distinct person who has an active worker login or an unexpired pending invitation counts. Expired invitations (after 7 days), cancelled invitations, and workers on archived businesses do not count. The same person invited to two businesses counts as one worker.
Do my team seats or accountant seats count as workers?
No. Care includes team seats for your office staff (admin and staff roles) and accountant seats. Workers who use only the mobile worker app count against your worker tier.
Can support workers see my invoice amounts or client funding?
No. Workers use the Invio Work phone app, which is scoped strictly to their own published shifts, start/end clock times, travel kilometres, and shift progress notes. They cannot see client invoices, rates, business financial reports, or other workers.
How do I start using Care?
In Invio, go to Settings, then Billing, and press Start Care (or Change to Care if already on another paid plan). You will review the exact amount due today before anything is charged.
